A few things worth knowing
CommunityWise publishes guides, articles, and data tools to help HOA boards, residents, and home buyers make more informed decisions.
We're not lawyers or financial advisors
Nothing on this site is legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for professional guidance. HOA law varies by state, by community, and by situation. If you're dealing with a legal dispute, a significant financial decision, or anything where getting it wrong has real consequences, talk to a licensed attorney or CPA who knows HOA law in your state.
Our data has limits
The financial benchmarks and community data we publish come from HOA disclosure documents, publicly available records, and community surveys. This data is as accurate as we can make it, but it has gaps.
Not every HOA is represented. Data can be out of date. Individual communities vary in ways that aggregate numbers can't capture. Use our benchmarks as a starting point for your own research, not as the final word.
Buyer reports are informational, not appraisals
Our HOA health reports for home buyers summarize publicly available financial information in plain English. They are not appraisals, inspections, or warranties. They don't replace a full review of the disclosure package by a qualified professional. They're a tool to help you ask better questions - not to answer all of them.
Links and third-party content
We occasionally link to external resources, state statutes, or third-party tools. We don't control that content and can't vouch for its accuracy. Links don't imply endorsement.
This site changes
We update our content as laws change, as we learn more, and as the product evolves. The date at the bottom of each article tells you when it was last reviewed. If something looks out of date, email us at hello@communitywise.co.
